Letter from the President

Hello Everyone,

As I go into my 4th year as President of Quinebaug Citizen’s Alliance, I think back to my very first meeting I attended. I was so overwhelmed with pride that I was joining a community of citizens that loved this country as much as I do.  Some people are born with it, some people in time learn to appreciate it and some just don’t ever get it. Those of you that do not have an ounce of pride for this country, then this group is definitely NOT for you.

I thank all members that have worked hard to bring value to our organization. Thank you to those of you that brought like minded friends to our monthly meetings to help grow our group. Each one of you sharing your expertise and knowledge. We have been blessed with classes on fire arm safety, foraging, first aide, preparedness techniques, local government event planning and laid back dinners to enjoy delicious home cooked food because we love to eat.

Life , Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness. Maybe to some of you these are just words that are out of date. Not to us, when we see our flag our heart races with joy because we live in the most unique country in the world and we want to keep it that way.

The famous words of John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Address January 20, 1961, “ And so, my fellow Americans ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country.” But he went further, “ My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, BUT what TOGETHER we can do for the freedom of man.”
